The sweet red roan mare walked through the border of the new territory scared and nervous. She really liked Darkness... however she was not sure he felt the same. Seeing him about to breed another mare made her dizzy.
She broke into a canter and hiked up a hill and laid under a dead tree. She rested her nose on her knees feeling lonely and heart broken... 'I will teach you English' sounded like he liked her but she now thought she was led on. She looked down at one of her fine legs seeing the long scar that made her less pretty. It stretched from one side of her flank down to her ankle in a sort of lighting bolt shape pattern... it was from a fire back home in Greece.
I snorted and looked up at Demeter. I nuzzled Shadow gently and trotted up to her. "What is wrong Demeter?" I asked her nuzzling her neck. I hadn't led her on. I had a lot to keep up. Rocky and his new friend, Shadow, and Demeter. And that was just the start. I still had to teach her english and help her fit in. I knew she would easily but she just needed a little help
I twitched a little as a rain drop hit my scar. After all of these years it still hurts. It even reopens every once in a while and bleeds.
My eyes looked up to reached the large stallion. I did feel small but I didn't mind. I shook my head disappointed. I flopped over on the side in which didn't have the scar so i wouldn't yelp with pain.
I snorted out a bug that had tried to get into my nose. I was quite annoyed with how many years I have gone without feeling embraced... no wonder I ran away from my sisters.
I laid next to her and nuzzled her neck. "Why don't you come and meet Shadow and my son Rocky?" I asked in Greek. "Or would you like to learn a little English" I said gently. I wanted everyone to be happy. I knew she had a hard life and I understood. I didn't want her to feel neglected or anything. That would be terrible of me.
Feeling the stallions touch on my neck made me even sadder. I may be the happy motherly type but I still have feelings that would get hurt and I thought that I would find the one I love the most but who knows at this point?
I licked my shoulder riding my pristine red roan coat of dirt. Stabbing my front hooves into the dry earth I pulled myself up easily stretching my short legs and my neck. I descended the hill with ease listening to see if dark was coming.
